About

Becky de Sancha. Much to peoples surprise I am not Spanish or Portuguese. I am from the UK.

Over the years I have lived in various countries and enjoyed a number of vocations. Now living in Madeira, I am fully engrossed into the world of destination weddings.

I trained to become a Wedding Celebrant in the UK and am a member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, which gives me the network to ensure that I continue to work professionally and share new ideas. I first moved to the Algarve, where I set up Portugal Wedding Ceremonies, focusing solely on designing couples beautiful ceremonies that reflected their personal values and beliefs.

After conducting a wedding in Madeira, I feel in love with the Island and decided to move here. With less english speaking suppliers, I chose to expand my business to assist and support couples in the planning of their whole day, from locating venues, caterers and musicians, to pinning on the button hole for the best man. I have trusted and established suppliers and venues on the Island who are ready to make your day run smoothly.

As a confident person, I have found myself in many public speaking arenas, delivering seminars on different topics at conferences, and writing and delivering training courses. I had a successful marketing company in the UK, which gives me an eye for words and what works in different environments. I have managed teams of staff and been involved in events planning in the UK, and so have years of experience.

I have also been involved with hundreds of weddings across Madeira and mainland Portugal and so have learned over the years a successful recipe for creating the perfect day for a couple. The key is using the most beautiful venues and best suppliers, all working as a team to make your day memorable.

Conducting wedding Ceremonies is my enjoyment in life. It is such a pleasure to be able to share this special moment with couples and watch them begin their married lives together. Helping couples plan their weddings is just icing on the cake!
